Boost Stars are awarded for all eligible successful transactions using money from your Boost Wallet, including bill payments, online & offline transactions, telco top up, and payments made via Boost DuitNow QR. Stars may vary depending on your Rank, transaction type and transaction amount.

Non-transactional activities including adding money, sending money, Partner Wallet utilization, and Pay with Stars are ineligible to earn Boost Stars. Transactions on Travel & Transportation (Parking, KLIA Ekspress, E-hailing, Petrol, Bus, Car Rental Booking & more), Entertainment & Games (Boost Game Connect & Game Credit Purchase), Voucher Purchase, Insurance, investment-related products, Zakat payments, payments made via non-Boost DuitNow QR and UnionPay QR are also ineligible to earn Boost Stars.

Yes. Stars earned will be valid for 4 quarters and will expire on the last day of the 4th quarter. For example: Stars earned in Q4 2021 will expire on the last day of Q3 2022.

You can check your Boost Stars balance & expiry date by visiting your BoostUP Homepage.

You may move up or maintain a Rank by making the required minimum spending amount within a quarter of a calendar year as follows:

• Silver Sergeant: Rank up or maintain Rank with RM1,200 minimum spend in a quarter.
• Gold General: Rank up or maintain Rank with RM4,500 minimum spend in a quarter.

You are not required to meet any minimum spend as a Red Recruit.

Yes, if you have not met the minimum spending required at the end of every quarter, you will automatically be moved to 1 Rank lower in the next quarter.

To browse all available rewards, tap on the “Rewards” icon on your Boost App Homepage & select “BoostUP Rewards” to redeem Partner Wallets, vouchers & gifts, or select “Pick & Win” to view the monthly available prizes.

Select your preferred item & tap “Purchase” to confirm your redemption. Please ensure that your Stars balance is sufficient to proceed with the transaction.

Once successfully redeemed, you may find proof of your transaction by navigating the app as follows:

Homepage > Transactions tab > Click on the specific transaction made.

You are required to confirm all redemption amounts prior to redemption completion. Once confirmed, the redemption may not be cancelled.

Pay with Stars is a benefit that allows users to earn a direct discount of up to 10% on Prepaid top up, Postpaid bills, and other Bills within the Boost app (excluding payments via physical stores, web portal payments, and other third party platforms, including but not limited to telco apps).

You will receive an option to select Pay with Stars for applicable transactions. Simply choose the amount you wish to deduct using your Stars and confirm the payment. The amount deductible with Stars will vary based on your Rank and minimum spend.

Please ensure that you are making a payment for an eligible transaction, meeting the minimum spend requirement, and have sufficient Stars balance.
